Missouri Watches Congress Action on State Aid

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Members of Missouri’s congressional delegation are on their way back to Washington D.C. to vote on a state stimulus package aimed at plugging holes in education and Medicaid budgets.

The House will meet in special session Tuesday to vote on a measure passed by the Senate last week that will provide $26 billion for states. Missouri stands to get about $400 million, according to State Budget Director Linda Luebbering.
